Derbyshire is in the centre of England and has a population of around 780,000.
Derbyshire is a place of geographical and social contrasts. It has several heavily built-up areas and large, sparsely populated rural areas much of which is within the Peak District National Park.
There are 10 district and borough councils in Derbyshire, including Amber Valley, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, High Peak, North East Derbyshire, South Derbyshire, Derby City and Peak District National Park.
The M1 motorway and railway links provide good north to south communications in the east of the county.

Information about Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire is a county in the East Midlands region of England which includes the districts of Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, and Rushcliffe. In 2017, the county was estimated to have a population of over 800,000.
The county is served by two railway lines, the Midland Main Line, which links London to Sheffield via Nottingham and the East Coast Main Line from London to Doncaster, Leeds, York, Newcastle upon Tyne. The M1 motorway runs through the county, connecting Nottingham to London, Leeds, and Leicester by road.
The closest airports are East Midlands Airport and Doncaster Sheffield Airport. As well as local bus services throughout the county, Nottingham and its suburbs have a tram system, Nottingham Express Transit (NET).

Northamptonshire is a county in the East Midlands of England with a population of around 750,000.
The county is split into the two unitary authorities of North Northamptonshire and West Northamptonshire.
It is the southernmost county in the East Midlands region and apart from the county town of Northampton, other major population centres include Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden and Daventry.

Rutland is England’s smallest, and one of the country’s most beautiful counties.
Bordering Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, Rutland is home to the market towns of Oakham and Uppingham, as well as Rutland Water, a large artificial reservoir that is an important nature reserve for the region.
The total population of the county is 41,000.
